About us

NorSea Denmark has been operating the largest offshore energy supply base in Denmark since 1974.

As a one-stop-shop service provider to the entire offshore energy industry, we have supplied innovative, flexible, and safe solutions for more than 50 years.

Dedicated to keeping a safe workplace and focused on operational costs efficiency; reducing emissions and minimizing complexity through digitalization and automation, we continuously strive to be a frontrunner and a pioneering partner in the energy industry.

Fully committed to the green transition, we are keen to show a low-emission leadership and in transforming the industry supply chain – our ambitious goal of being the first zero-emission supply base in the world by 2025 setting the bar.

Pioneers since 1974
1974
FOUNDING OF THE COMPANY

Danbor was established in 1974 as a A.P. Moller-Maersk subsidiary in the earliest days of the Danish oil and gas industry. During the next 40 years, Danbor grew into the largest offshore supply base in Denmark.

2002
LIQUIFIED GAS DISTRIBUTION

NorSea Denmark begins our liquified gas journey operating 22 trucks in national CO2, O2, N, and Ar distribution.

2008
GOING INTERNATIONAL

A new branch in Aberdeen with 5500 m2 indoor storage and 18.000 m2 outside storage is the first step for a global expansion.

2014
DANBOR BECOMES NORSEA DENMARK

NorSea Group acquires Danbor and establishes NorSea Denmark. NorSea Denmark becomes part of Wilhelmsen.

2018
NEW CHAPTER

Jesper Høj-Hansen takes the position of new CEO. The company undergoes extensive optimization through lean, digitalization, and improved strategies.

2019
EXPANDING UK LOGISTICS

NorSea Denmark acquires Westco Transport to strengthen the logistic connection between Scandinavia and the UK.

2020
GRAND OPENING OF HOOI

After extensive renovation, our rebuilt headquarters opens as House of Offshore Innovation; a low-emission building focused on innovative collaboration and co-creation with more than 25 tenants within the energy industry.

RECOGNISED FOR SAFETY CULTURE

Rådet for Sikker Trafik and Forsikring & Pension honored NorSea Denmark with the Safe Traffic Business Award 2020 for strong safety performance and culture.

2020
EXPANSION OF BASE OPERATION & AREA

NorSea Denmark expanded base operations in Esbjerg with the acquisition of IAT's Base & Energy division, including a 17,000 square meter warehouse, 20,000 square meters of port area, and six employees.

2021
WORLDS FIRST ZERO-EMISSION BASE

NorSea Denmark sets an ambitious goal to become the world’s first zero-emission base by 2025. Doing so by utilizing HVO diesel, electric vehicles, and creating greener solutions throughout the supply chain.

2022
GENERAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT

NorSea Denmark and SPIE Oil & Gas Services' joint venture NorSPIE won the general maintenance contract with support and service for offshore installations in the North Sea. The contract meant more than 200 additional colleagues for NorSea Denmark.

GREENER LOGISTICS

NorSea Denmark invests in 100 % electrical truck to support the development of sustainable transport and be able to offer greener logistic solutions to customers.

NORSEA LEADER

First-ever team of participants graduates from the newly established management program NorSea Leader meant to develop great leaders within the organization.

OPENING OF NEW OFFICES

NorSea Denmark opens an office in Grenaa to create a better position towards the wind market in Kattegat. An office in Esbjerg Airport enables us to be closer to our offshore colleagues.

CUSTOMS NEAR THE BORDER

NorSea Denmark expands customs department with two new colleagues at the newly opened office in Padborg.

2024
APPRENTICESHIP OF THE YEAR

NorSea Denmark wins apprenticeship of the year 2023, HK Sydjylland after being nominated by logistic trainee.

2024
ANNIVERSARY

NorSea Denmark celebrates 50 years of expertise in the energy industry and 10 years of being part of Wilhelmsen.
