Out of the 5,900 square meters, 4,300 square meters will be a production hall, along with 1,600 square meters of office space. The production hall will be ready in July, and the office will follow in October 2026.
“The existing framework can’t keep pace anymore, and ideally, the construction would be finished yesterday,” says Harco COO, Frank Hedegaard:
“Looking at our customer inquiries, we see a demand for capabilities to be able to handle even more and bigger items. So this expansion is driven by demand,” he says.
With this construction project, NorSea puts action behind the ambition to invest a nine-figure sum into becoming an even bigger player in renewable energy with take-off at the supply base in Esbjerg.
“We hope this project kicks off a multitude of collaborations with companies in the renewable energy sector looking to build new facilities,” says Jesper Høj-Hansen.
KG Hansen has been selected to deliver the construction project, and project manager Michael Klitaa Jørgensen, KG Hansen, is looking forward to it:
“We are very pleased to be handed this assignment by NorSea, and we’re happy to build in Esbjerg,” he says.
