It has been a great summer – certainly if you are passionate about CO2-neutral energy.
With the sun beaming down in Esbjerg in May, June and July, the 3,400 m2 solar panels on the rooftop of our warehouse at Vestkraftgade 4 produced an astonishing 307,493 kWh!
That is way more than the 268,231 kWh needed to power the warehouse and electrical trucks as well as all tenants' consumption on all locations.
We forward all excess power production to the Esbjerg grid. With almost 40,000 kWh in surplus, the production over the summer has put out a lot of green energy into the Esbjerg grid – enough power for over 9 years of electricity in an average Danish home!
With the green energy produced this summer, NorSea’s collective emissions have dropped 10.9% compared to last year.
In September of last year, we finished the installation of 1,708 solar panels. As part of our climate partnership with Esbjerg Municipality, we are happy to enjoy the fruits of our labor and continue to push on for change and be pioneers of the green transition. With an ambition to run a fully operational CO2-neutral supply base by 2030, this summer surely bodes well for the future.
