NorSea Denmark has been testing this since June when several of the largest vehicles at the base in Esbjerg have refueled HVO biodiesel made from recycled raw materials such as used frying oil or animal fat from slaughterhouse waste.

During the trial period, the large 16-tonne forklift and terminal tractor have run on biodiesel - and the results are so far promising: The machines have worked exactly as usual. NorSea Denmark has an ambition to be a zero-emission base by 2025, and biodiesel is a step in the right direction in combination with several other CO2-reducing initiatives in the operation.
