...Base operator NorSea, who supplies both buildings and operation of warehouses and loading of ships, is a crucial player in the ambition to become CO2 neutral.

Among others, NorSea is working to reduce emissions from warehouses and introduce electric forklifts and cranes. They have already introduced waste sorting and energy-saving measures in the buildings, and they are testing biofuels.

“It is very much about attitude and about wanting to find sustainable solutions in everything we do. It is a challenge, but also very motivating to be able to support our partners' ambition for sustainable solutions and at the same time deliver our expertise and high safety standards, which is completely in line with our own ambitions” says Jesper Høj-Hansen, CEO of Norsea.

TotalEnergies and NorSea have so far managed to convert half of the trucks working at the supply base to electrified forklifts. At the moment larger electrified forklifts are being tested.
